Biography

Henry Harmon was a son of Jacob M. Harmon. Henry Harmon joined his father and other East Tennessee Unionists in the November 1861 bridge-burning uprising against the Confederacy. Captured and condemned under the order to hang bridge burners, he was executed at Knoxville, Tennessee, in December 1861, shortly after his father was hanged at Greeneville.
