Biography

Gregory Pelik was arrested at a meeting at Communist Party headquarters in Detroit. The 1920 congressional case summary attributes to a Justice Department agent the statement that the gathering discussed arrests of other party members two days earlier. Officials recommended deportation on alleged membership or close affiliation, but the warrant was canceled March 22. The two-day interval concerns earlier arrests of other people; it is not Pelik's complete detention duration. His exact arrest and physical release dates remain unknown.
