Biography

Glenn Gan was one of the UN 2 antiwar protesters prosecuted after an April 30, 1980 demonstration inside the United Nations Security Council. Revolutionary Worker reported that federal marshals took Gan and Steve Yip into custody on March 9, 1981, after their request to remain on bail was denied. It printed their statement from jail dated March 12.

The November 13, 1981 Revolutionary Worker reports that Glenn Gan was physically released on October 31, 1981. It describes pre-sentence jail credit and good time, followed by a suspended conspiracy sentence and probation. The nominal one-year-and-one-day term is not an actual completed custody total.
