Biography
George Siskind was a Polish-born writer and Communist Party educator. Immigration authorities ordered him deported in December 1950 under the McCarran Internal Security Act based on alleged Communist Party membership, and he appealed. The reviewed record establishes a civil deportation proceeding but does not establish an arrest, detention, deportation or criminal conviction.
The April 15 report recalls his arrest with nine others at the February 11, 1930 Newark unemployment meeting and a sedition prosecution.
