Biography
The June 5, 1933 issue prints an Ellis Island prisoners’ letter opposing deportation, individually signed by these detained workers. It establishes actual immigration confinement and the writers’ claim that political activity motivated removal; no individual exact arrest, imposed term, physical discharge or completed duration is supplied. The printed signature has been checked in a close image crop. Daily Worker, June 5, 1933, original PDF page 2.
