Biography

Frank Sepich was Ohio district vice-president of the National Miners Union. The Daily Worker of February 18, 1930, page 2, in a Moundsville dispatch dated February 17, reports that Hawkins, Sepich and five unnamed strikers were convicted of trespassing after an inciting-to-riot accusation failed. Each was fined $10 and costs. They refused to pay and were returned to jail, where they were serving ten-day terms. While confined they were served with injunction papers; the article anticipated possible contempt proceedings but did not report a completed contempt conviction. The source gives no exact admission, discharge or completed time served. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1930/v06-n297-NY-feb-18-1930-DW-LOC.pdf
