Biography
Floyd Bartlett was a participant in the Denver and Arapahoe County relief workers’ strike against relief cuts, low wages, and long hours. Police attacked the strikers on October 30, 1934 during a motorcade to Denver work-relief projects and arrested Floyd Bartlett with fifteen other workers. The defendants remained jailed as they prepared for individual jury trials on riot, rescuing a prisoner, and assault-with-intent-to-kill charges. The reviewed reports do not establish the exact release date or final disposition.
