Biography
Fannie Shook was a garment striker arrested outside Needleman and Bremmer, 263 West 40th Street, New York. The Daily Worker of May 29, 1931, page 1, names Fannie Shook with Salvatori Adchi (Salvatore Adalchi) among strikers arrested after clashes with strikebreakers and police. The union sought support for a strike against reduced wages and worsening conditions. The report does not give individual formal charges, bail, conviction, sentence or release dates, and its this-morning wording is not converted into a precise arrest day.
