Biography
Occupy Eugene activist arrested at the federal plaza in Eugene, Oregon while protesting in 2012. The U.S. Attorney's office voluntarily dismissed her federal criminal case after CLDC argued the GSA had unconstitutionally evicted Occupy from the plaza; she later became a plaintiff in a federal civil-rights suit over protest restrictions and was elected to the Eugene City Council.
2010s audit verified October 12, 2026: The contemporary Occupy report identifies Emily Semple, also called Brave Beatrice, and gives July 11, 2012 as the federal-plaza arrest date. The original HTML was read and retained locally. It does not establish a jail-admission or release day. The U.S. District Court was incorrectly listed as a custody institution and has been removed.
