Biography

Esther Lowell was a credentialed Federated Press reporter arrested for disorderly conduct during the Passaic textile strike. The April 21, 1926 Daily Worker says police seized her after she stopped to help a woman they had knocked down. This is an individually reported actual arrest; collective references to some prisoners obtaining bond do not establish her own release. Her exact arrest and discharge days and complete detention are unknown. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1926/1926-ny/v03-n085-NY-apr-21-1926-DW-LOC.pdf#page=1
