Biography
Emilia Rodríguez was imprisoned during the 1979 Vieques campaign against U.S. Navy operations. The January–February 1980 New Movement bulletin identifies Rodríguez among six Vieques resisters held in U.S. federal prisons. Wilfredo Vélez Hernández’s first-person memoir names Rodríguez among the women held at Vega Alta and subsequently transported.
In a 2004 oral history preserved by Georgia Tech, Aleida Encarnación recalled six months of imprisonment for Rodríguez. The duration is attributed to that recollection; precise sentencing, admission and release dates have not been established. The profile retains the name used in the verified custody sources.
