Biography
Elpidio Reyna participated in the June 7, 2025 confrontation between anti-ICE protesters and federal officers near a Home Depot in Paramount, California. Prosecutors said he threw pieces of concrete at federal vehicles, shattering a window and injuring an officer. After leaving for Mexico, he surrendered to the FBI at the San Ysidro port of entry on July 23, 2025 and was detained pending trial. He pleaded guilty to assaulting a federal officer with a dangerous weapon resulting in bodily injury and was sentenced in September 2026 to three years in federal prison.
