Sources

Verified detail sources (October 9, 2026): Eduardo Samaniego’s first-person Family Diversity Projects account dates his police arrest to October 18, 2018. The Migrant Justice amended complaint reports ICE detention in October 2018; the police arrest and immigration detention are distinguished by their supported precision. NEPM’s October 25, 2021 interview explicitly describes him as a man and records deportation in 2019, ending this U.S. detention episode. Release is recorded only to the year, as deportation, rather than ordinary release into the United States. A typographical 2018 voluntary-departure date in the amended complaint is not used. 2010s audit verified October 12, 2026: JOIN's March 19, 2019 first-person campaign account explicitly dates departure to Mexico to February 1, 2019, following the January 25 immigration order. This is a deportation endpoint, not ordinary U.S. release. The date was narrowed from year precision and the former 92-day placeholder calculation removed. ICE admission remains only October 2018 month precision, distinguished from the October 18 police arrest.
