Biography

Dana Rae Park appears in the Central Committee for Conscientious Objectors’1969 current-prisoner lists of draft and military conscientious resisters, held at Safford, Arizona.

Jim Douglass recalled in a 2015 Street Spirit interview that Hawaii draft resister Dana Park spent two years imprisoned in an Arizona desert prison. This is a retrospective report of time actually served, rather than a fixed two-year sentence. It does not establish exact admission or release dates.

The Central Committee for Conscientious Objectors’ November–December 1968 News Notes lists Dana Rae Park among its current prisoners at Safford. This contemporary roster corroborates actual confinement during the issue’s reporting period. It is a dated custody observation, not an admission, release, transfer date or measure of total time served.
