Biography
Dale Britt Bendler, a retired CIA officer who later returned as a contractor, pleaded guilty to acting as an undisclosed foreign agent while a public official and mishandling classified material. Prosecutors said he used classified systems to assist private foreign clients and influence public policy while earning hundreds of thousands of dollars. He began serving two concurrent one-year-and-one-day sentences on January 5, 2026 and was released on August 13, 2026.
