Biography
Cortez Aaron Rice, 32, was charged November 24, 2021 in Minneapolis with felony harassment / retaliation against a judicial officer for livestreaming demands at a home he believed belonged to the judge presiding over Kim Potters trial (Daunte Wright case). Charges dismissed without prejudice.
<p>The June 29, 2023 Akron civil-rights complaint documents a separate July 7, 2022 arrest of Rice while he and Bianca Austin were trying to help post bond for Michael Harris. It reports hours in jail before booking or charging and dismissal of the Akron charges on May 8, 2023. It does not supply the complete detention duration or an actual release date; the months of prosecution are not imprisonment. This is separate from Rice’s 2021 Minnesota case, which is preserved. Allegations of retaliation and unlawful arrest are attributed to plaintiffs’ complaint.</p>
