Biography
Christopher Saur II was a Germantown printer and German Baptist Brethren pacifist. Authorities imprisoned him in May 1778 over opposition to warfare and refusal of an allegiance oath. An Andrews University study records release on May 29; accounts disagree on the arrest day. His property was later confiscated. He was a Brethren member, distinct from his father and his son of the same name.
