Biography

Charles Kennedy is individually named in Bill Haywood’s memoir installment XLV among Western Federation of Miners defendants arrested over the Vindicator mine explosion in the Cripple Creek labor war. Haywood says the district attorney quashed those indictments for lack of evidence. Kennedy is not among the three individually named defendants in the separate train-wreck prosecution. The memoir reports repeated earlier arrests but does not enumerate or date them; no numerical actual duration, exact custody endpoint or additional inferred episode is added. The source name is kept distinct from other Davis, Foster and Kennedy records unless further identity evidence emerges. Page 6.
