The February 26, 1924 Daily Worker political-prisoner roster individually prints Chas. Crowley with historical prisoner number 38534. Its continued Walla Walla heading appears to run into California prisoners, while this individual’s existing record documents San Quentin. The printed identifier is transcribed; no transfer to Washington or institution change is inferred from that heading. This is a contemporary institutional identifier, not a federal BOP register number. No admission or release date, individual sentence length, actual duration, organizational membership or present status is inferred.
The March 20, 1924 Daily Worker, page 3, publishes April 25 as the birthday of Chas. Crowley, individually identified by existing prisoner number 38534. No birth year is supplied, so no complete birthdate or age is invented. This contemporary month-and-day birthday detail is preserved as attributed reporting.
