Biography
Catherine Morris is a longtime Los Angeles Catholic Worker — celebrating 50 years at the LA Catholic Worker in 2022 — and has been arrested numerous times across five decades for civil disobedience at military installations, federal buildings, and corporate war-profiteer offices in protest of U.S. wars and nuclear weapons. The 2022 issue #200 of the Nuclear Resister honored her decades of resistance.

Separate source-documented custody episode
The October 30 issue individually names Catherine Morris with Chuck Teixeira, Jose Oaxaca and Sister Mary Rice in Rockwell leafletting arrests during the August 6–9,1981 Hiroshima/Nagasaki anniversary. All four spent the night in jail and were arraigned and released the next afternoon. Two-day time-served court credit is reported for all four; the article does not identify which two also received probation. Exact individual action/release days within that anniversary period are unknown. This is separate from her 1980 summary and 2024 Vandenberg action. No extra exact served-day counter is added to the existing cumulative 17-day summary, whose overlap with this stay is not independently established.
