Biography

Cary Coe, printed as Carry Coe in The Militant, was a fifteen-year-old member of the National Committee to Combat Fascism in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A January 29, 1971 report identifies Coe and Grady Fuller as surrendering during the January 12 police raid on their organization's office and remaining imprisoned on accusations of stealing a delivery truck and meat and assaulting an officer. NCCF member Larry Little alleged that a police agent offered the meat to create a pretext for the raid and denied that shots came from the office. This account establishes actual continuing detention, but supplies no final verdict, sentence or physical-release date. Source: https://www.themilitant.com/1971/3503/MIL3503.pdf#page=2
