Biography
Benjamin Cruz was a Guatemalan-born Los Angeles labor organizer and officer of the Furniture Workers Union who became a United States citizen in 1945. In March 1958 the government served him with notice of a civil denaturalization action alleging that he had not disclosed Communist Party membership. The reviewed record does not establish an arrest, detention, or prison term.
