Biography

B. I. Kantorovitch, also printed Kantrovitch, was a former Paterson worker deported during the Palmer raids of 1920. By 1934 he worked in the Red Rose Silk Combinat in Moscow and wrote a September 16-received solidarity letter to Paterson silk workers on behalf of 4,700 factory workers and staff. The letter describes Soviet factory life. The editor’s deportation identification supplies no exact removal day, original charge, US detention interval, citizenship or voluntary return.
