Biography
Asif William Rahman is a former CIA analyst who disclosed classified intelligence concerning Israel’s preparations for a military strike on Iran. Rahman joined the CIA in 2016 and was working at the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh when the FBI arrested him on November 12, 2024. He remained in federal custody, pleaded guilty on January 17, 2025 to two counts of willfully retaining and transmitting national-defense information, and was sentenced on June 11, 2025 to 37 months in prison.
