Biography
Anne Sweet was a Black labor activist in Portland, Oregon, and a participant in the Summer Institute for Union Women. During Portland Jobs with Justice’s 1993 National Day of Action for Labor Law Reform sit-in at the National Labor Relations Board offices, she refused an order to leave and was one of nine people arrested. The accessible oral history does not give the exact arrest date, booking details, disposition or any period of confinement.
