Biography
Andrew Humphreys was an Indiana antiwar Democrat tried before a military commission at Indianapolis in the Sons of Liberty case connected to Lambdin P. Milligan. Convicted, he was sentenced to hard labor for the duration of the war, and his case was among those resolved by the Supreme Court's 1866 ruling in Ex parte Milligan.
