Biography

Ahmed Bilal was named among the Portland defendants in John S. Pistole’s April 14, 2004 FBI statement. The group was indicted October 3, 2002. The statement says he was apprehended in Malaysia several days after the October 4 arrests and returned to the United States; it gives no exact U.S. admission day. The FBI reported guilty pleas and sentences ranging from three to eighteen years across the group, without identifying each person’s exact sentence or actual discharge. Allegations of efforts to aid Al Qaeda and the Taliban are attributed to the FBI. No completed served total or present custody status is inferred.
