Biography

Abe Berlin signed the joint letter headed Solidarity Behind the Bars in the October 1934 Labor Defender. He and the other signatory thanked the ILD for a dollar to each and welcomed Angelo Herndon’s bail release while calling for freedom for political prisoners. The published correspondence address is 600 East 55th Street, New York City. The prison-correspondence heading supports confinement, but no institution, statutory accusation, sentence, individual admission or discharge day or measured duration is established; the street address is not converted into an invented prison identification.
