Biography
A. Rothschild was individually listed as an imprisoned needle-trades worker on the September 1934 ILD roster. It gives 1 Court Square, Long Island City as the place or correspondence address and reports fifteen months as the imposed sentence. It supplies no full first name, individual statutory charge, exact custody endpoints or actual completed duration. A street address alone is not used to invent a prison identification. Labor Defender, July 1934: The prison-anniversary letters expand the signature to Arnold Rothschild and identify him and Harry Fox as needle-trades workers under eighteen-month New Yorkjail sentences. This differs from the later September roster’s fifteen-month term and is retained as an attributed sentence conflict. The letter confirms actual custody but not completed service or a precise institution. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/labordefender/1934/v10n07-jul-1934-orig-LD.pdf#page=27
