Biography

Zaldokas was arrested by Wilkes-Barre police during a textile-mill strike in the summer of 1929. Phil Frankfeld’s article in the Daily Worker of December 26, page 4, names Michelson and Zaldokas among people arrested during that strike. It gives no first name for either person, individual formal charge, exact custody day, sentence or eventual release. The surname is retained as printed; no first name or personal background is inferred. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1929/1929-ny/v06-n251-NY-dec-26-1929-DW-LOC.pdf
