Biography

Wladislaw Haberski, also printed as Franciszek Haberski, was arrested in the Buffalo deportation investigation described in the 1920 congressional case summary. The entry reports his statement that he destroyed his Communist Party membership card at arrest because he was frightened. Officials recommended deportation, but proceedings were suspended for eight months by a March 23 order. Eight months describes the procedural suspension, not a prison sentence or time actually served. Exact arrest and physical release dates and total detention remain unknown.
