Biography
William “Bill” Schiller was an early Peace Corps volunteer who became an opponent of the Vietnam War after the United States intervened in the Dominican Republic and escalated in Vietnam. He mailed his draft card to the Selective Service System and left the United States, reaching Sweden in 1970. Schiller received humanitarian asylum, became a Swedish citizen and was working as an English-language radio reporter in Stockholm in 1982. The reviewed sources do not report an arrest, booking or confinement.
