Biography

The November 24, 1931 report individually lists this National Miners Union strike prisoner at Allegheny County Workhouse, Blawnox. The roster establishes actual confinement during the mine-strike repression. It does not supply an individual statutory count, exact initial arrest, physical release or completed custody duration. The August 28, 1931 Daily Worker reports conflicting prosecution testimony about whether McQueen or Greene tore a flag from the UMWA truck at Curry Field. McQueen denied touching a flag and said he left when fighting started. The subsequent detailed trial roster identifies Will McQueen in the same Canonsburg prosecution. These are attributed trial accounts; no new arrest, verdict, release or measured custody interval is inferred.
