Biography
Thomas McDermott was jailed in California in 1919 while awaiting trial under the state Criminal Syndicalism Act for circulating and displaying publications said to advocate criminal syndicalism. On July 31, 1919, the California Supreme Court denied his habeas corpus application and allowed the prosecution and detention to continue. The surviving decision does not state his arrest or release date.
