Biography
Sahilal Sarachandran, Nadarasa Yogarasa, Sathajhan Sarachandran, and Thiruthanikan Thanigasalam were involved in a conspiracy to provide material support to the Tamil Tigers by purchasing weapons from an undercover FBI agent.

After his 25-year sentence was reduced to 15 years in 2016 under an agreement that the Canadian defendants be deported on completion, the Bureau of Prisons records his release from FCI Elkton on July 19, 2019, followed by removal to Canada.
Unsupported custody total review October 13, 2026: This case's existing source note explicitly leaves continuous custody endpoints unestablished and its admission field is blank. The 4,717-day total nevertheless counted from arrest to release; it is cleared. DOJ's contemporary announcement supports the August 19, 2006 arrest but does not by itself establish every subsequent custody phase. Existing sentencing and release dates are unchanged. Actual admission and an identifiable photograph remain unresolved.
