Biography
Theo Fedotoff was a Socialist from Bayonne, New Jersey. Theo Fedotoff began serving a prison sentence for obstructing recruitment on May 15, 1918. He was sentenced to ten years for seditious remarks made in addressing a meeting of Russian workers for the purpose of starting a school.
The January 1919 Liberator prints the surname Fedetov alongside Tachin and describes the two Russians as serving ten-year terms in New Jersey after organizing English instruction. The spelling and nominal punishment are attributed to that account, rather than automatically replacing the existing name, changing actual endpoints or treating ten years as completed service.
