Biography

Steve Rubicki was an International Labor Defense organizer arrested in Chicago on July 4, 1930 with seven delegates traveling to the National Unemployment Convention. The July 5Daily Worker reports that a U.S. Army major questioned them about a supposed secret meeting. Its continuation explicitly says Rubicki had been released while the other seven remained held. No statutory charge, exact physical discharge time or complete detention duration is supplied.
