Biography
Steve Hindi is an anti-hunting and animal-rights activist (founder of SHARK, Showing Animals Respect and Kindness) who served a six-month sentence for his protest activities against a hunt in Illinois. A March 6, 1998 prisoner-support listing recorded him held at the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock, Illinois.

In his signed April1997 AnimalPeople statement, Steve Hindi describes actual imprisonment in November1996 for alleged contempt after paragliding between geese and hunters at Woodstock Hunt Club. The PDF native text reads twenty days; the small printed numeral is partly obscured by the advertisement’s prison-bar design. He separately says he remained confined four days after an appellate bond-release order. It is unclear whether those four days are included in the twenty, so no twenty-four-day or thirty-day total is manufactured. November1996 admission is MONTH precision, actual final discharge remains unprinted, and the aggregate counter remains unknown. This initial stay is separate from the existing1998 custody interval in the same broader prosecution; the old row’s1996 sentencing reference is not reassigned or duplicated as another conviction.
