Biography
Stephen Mesarosh was arrested while distributing Trade Union Educational League leaflets near a Long Island nickel and copper factory. The April 26, 1929 newspaper describes a police beating and actual release on $500 bail secured by the International Labor Defense. It also prints Mesearosh in the continuation; this is an attributed spelling variant. The precise arrest, physical discharge and full detention remain unknown.
