Biography

Ruth Reynolds was a North American supporter of Puerto Rican independence arrested in the repression following the 1950 Nationalist uprising. Meyer reports a six-year imposed sentence, bail release in 1952 and subsequent reversal, without exact dates for these events. She was raised in Deadwood, South Dakota, lived at the Harlem Ashram and worked for the Vieques Support Network until four years before her death. The nominal six years is not actual completed service. Source: https://www.redalyc.org/pdf/377/37722223004.pdf#page=27
