Biography

Rosaura Revueltas was the Mexican actress who starred in the pro-union film Salt of the Earth. Immigration officers arrested her at the New Mexico filming location on February 25, 1953, questioned her about Communism, and confined her under armed guard in an El Paso hotel. She was released from custody on March 6 and returned to Mexico.
