Biography
Robert Brown was a Philadelphia worker. A July 11 worker’s account says police jailed Price and Brown after an Unemployment Council public trial of janitor Richard Bagley, although neither worker belonged to the council. Price was held on $400 bail with a further hearing scheduled July 3; Brown was dismissed. The article supplies no exact arrest or physical discharge day or formal charge. Twelve years describes Price’s employment, not his age or custody. Daily Worker, July 11, 1934, page 4.
