Biography
River Akemann is a video journalist and Unicorn Riot contributor. Police arrested him in Ashland County, Wisconsin, on August 24, 2026, while he documented construction of the Enbridge Line 5 pipeline reroute and monitored fish in a creek. Unicorn Riot reported four misdemeanor charges and his release later that day. His reporting concerned a pipeline project contested by the Bad River Band and environmental organizations. The reported charges do not establish a conviction.
