An earlier 1970 custody listing
CCCO News Notes, 4th Issue 1970, volume 22 number 4, page 4, names Rick Boardman under “Currently Imprisoned” at Allenwood, Pennsylvania. This documents an earlier 1970 institutional listing in addition to the 1971 reports mentioned in the biography. Richard (Rick) Boardman, formerly on the American Friends Service Committee’s Chicago staff, contributed to Struggle for Justice while serving a three-year draft-resistance sentence. He joined an Allenwood work stoppage against arbitrary prisoner transfers and was transferred to Danbury. His later instructor biography at OLLI at American University records eighteen actual months in federal prison in 1970–71.
