Biography
Randolph Jennings was a Black Panther Party member and one of the High Point Four arrested after police entered the Party community center on February 10, 1971. The Black Panther of February 19, 1972 reports that he, Bradford Lilley and Larry Medley were convicted of assault on a police officer and received seven-to-ten-year sentences, while George DeWitt was acquitted. Their appeal bonds were set at $7,000 each. The length of Jennings’ actual confinement remains unverified.
A September 1972 Black Panther report identified Randolph Jennings, also called Randy, as a High Point Panther serving a seven-to-ten-year sentence at Central Prison in Raleigh. It described the difficulties faced by his mother, Mrs. Gregg, traveling from Winston-Salem for visits.
