Biography

Rae Guynn, wife of National Miners Union organizer Charles Guynn, was herself arrested at her home after the 1933 Utah coal strike ended, according to Philip Sterling’s article in the Daily Worker of April 11, 1934, page 5. The article quotes her letter describing workers’ attendance at Charles Guynn’s and Paul Crouch’s trials and their defense campaign. It does not give her own formal charge, exact arrest date, sentence, release or detention duration. Source: https://www.marxists.org/history/usa/pubs/dailyworker/1934/v11-n087-apr-11-1934-DW-LOC.pdf
