Biography

Priscilla Treska was a Cleveland Montessori teacher, Catholic peace activist, and member of the Inter-Religious Task Force on Central America. During the 2005 School of the Americas Watch action at Fort Benning, she crossed onto the base in protest and deliberately refused bail, explaining that she would not participate in a bail system that punished people who could not pay. Treska remained in the Muscogee County Jail for 72 days. In late January 2006 she was convicted and released with a sentence of time served.
