Peter Kraus was a Communist Party organizer at Utica, sentenced to one and a half to three years at Auburn State Prison in the Utica, New York unemployed-council case. Five unemployed workers of Utica, New York were convicted in December 1932 in an anti-hunger demonstration case and sentenced in 1933.
Labor Defender, May 1934: The roster prints Peter Krauss with rioting and assault and a two-to-three-year imposed term. Alongside it, recently released co-defendant Frank Carone reports that their Daily Worker copies were stopped after two months because officials accused them of propaganda. This spelling and sentence formulation are retained alongside the earlier one-and-a-half-to-three-year account; no complete served term is inferred.
