Biography

Peter J. Woodrow is individually named in the September 1, 1972 Friends Journal among Friends and associated participants arrested for sitting on railroad tracks near the Earle Ammunition Depot at Leonardo, New Jersey. Marines guarding the depot interrupted their ecumenical worship service on June 12. Magistrate Harry Lane tried the named participants and imposed a two-hundred-fifty-dollar fine on each; the report says their appeals were pending. The source establishes actual arrest, not service of a jail term equal to the fine, and supplies no precise physical discharge or completed custody interval. The event year follows the contemporary 1972 report; the article prints June 12.
