Biography
Paul Hood was individually named among three resisters who had recently served seventeen days in jail for a December 1981 anti-nuclear action at Draper Lab in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After their conviction appeal was denied, they declined court-ordered community service, saying service should be voluntary Christian love rather than punishment. Exact jail-admission, release and sentencing days are not printed.

Actual individually documented custody and anti-nuclear protest relevance are established, not merely arrest or a possible sentence. No demographic attributes, exact vital dates, current custody status or unsupported name expansion are inferred. Earlier arrest, sentence, residential custody, physical jail and projected release are distinguished.
Separate 1983 Draper sentence stay and actual November release
The December 16 newsletter says Paul Hood was actually released November 24, 1983 after serving a thirty-day sentence for a Nagasaki Day offering of peace doves at Draper Lab in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His October 27 letter was written from jail shortly after admission, but the admission month and exact day are not independently dated; intake remains blank. No October 25 intake is back-calculated from the thirty-day term. This later 1983 sentence stay is not the earlier seventeen-day imprisonment for the December 1981 Draper action.

Contemporary 1983–1984 custody evidence
Paul Hood’s December 28, 1983 Draper arrest initially ended in release pending the February 8, 1984 trial. He was then convicted and the report identifies him actually in MCI Billerica serving a 30-day sentence. His refusal of the fine led him to expect another 34 days; neither that anticipated addition nor the directory mid-April forecast proves actual service or release. This is a third distinct Draper stay, not the earlier 17 days or the separate 30-day term ending November 24, 1983. February 8 is stored as sentencing only; the exact physical intake is not independently printed.
